The holidays are a time for family, but they can also challenge household budgets for many in our community. That’s why LorMet wants to help Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio fight hunger this holiday season.
November 1 – 17, consider donating $1, $3, or $5 at any branch to benefit Second Harvest. LorMet will match members’ total donations, up to $10,000.
Last year, LorMet and its members raised $10,723 for Second Harvest to provide 43,000 meals.
About Second Harvest and its programs:
Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio is the regional nonprofit committed to fighting hunger. Working together with a vast network to acquire, gather, and distribute nutritious food, Second Harvest helps feed tens of thousands of people throughout Lorain, Erie, Huron, and Crawford counties.
The BackPack Program™ helps alleviate child hunger by addressing the lack of food resources on weekends and holidays by providing backpacks stocked with groceries for families to prepare at home. Second Harvest works to distribute thousands of backpacks each week.
