Simply follow these 3 QUICK and EASY steps to switch:
Open a LorMet checking account: We offer a choice of checking accounts so you can find one that is right for you.
Make a list of your Automatic Payments and Direct Deposits.
Who do you pay and how do you pay them? Make a list, then you’ll know exactly who to contact to easily redirect these payments to your new account.
Switch your Direct Deposit(s) to your new LorMet checking account.
Notify your employer that you are switching banks, then provide them with our routing number and your new checking account number. Make this step easier by filling out this form and returning it to your employer.
Switch your Automatic Payments to your new LorMet checking account.
Complete this step from the comfort of your own home with our Online Bill Pay service. Use the list of automatic payments from your old account, then redirect them to your new LorMet account. This can also be done by contacting the companies directly.
Stop using the account you want to close.
First, make sure all of your checks have cleared and your automatic payments/deposits have stopped posting to the old account.
Then, close your old checking account.
